Los Mercaderes restaurant is pricey and full of tourists, but for good reason, the food and wine are pretty good. Located just off Plaza Vieja it’s a private restaurant with great staff.

Great views from the Historical Museum in Trinidad | Cuba

We paid the $2 CUC entry into the Historical Museum or San Francisco de Asis near Plaza Mayor in the center of Trinidad, then walked to the top of the bell tower for excellent views.

I’d read that La Redaccion Restaurant was the best restaurant in Trinidad so we had to try it out. I was expecting it to be really expensive but not so. The food is modern and interesting.

Walk to the top of the Radio Tower in Trinidad | Cuba

It’s a bit of a hike up the hill to get to the top with the Radio Tower, but worth it for the great views over the valleys of Trinidad out to the ocean. The road up to the tower is a bit rough too.

Our Horse Ride Tour including a swimming hole in Trinidad | Cuba

Our horse ride tour started straight from our casa in Trinidad, then off for around 5 hours trotting into the Trinidad valleys with a walk to a stunning waterfall with an excellent swimming hole.

Here’s what Disco Ayala in a Cave looks like, in Trinidad | Cuba

Disco Ayala doesn’t open until around 11pm, however when we pasted it on the way to the Radio Tower the guys outside said $1 CUC for a look around. This nightclub is in a really cool cave.

In one of the guide books, it said San Jose Restaurant was meant to be the second best restaurant in Trinidad. We didn’t think so, although we only tried the pizza. The dessert was really good though.
